CLOTH Prices are cloth dependent. Much of our tailoring is made from Anglo-Italian Tessuti, our house developed selection of cloth, which we produce with small mills in Prato, Biella and Huddersfield.

We also have selections from our favourite Italian and English mills, prioritising cloth that is matte, textured and robust.

INTRODUCTION Tailoring lies at the core of Anglo-Italian, representing a mix of the craft, history and culture which means so much to us.

We make in the Italian way, both in terms of quality and our jacket’s softness.

Whether ready-to-wear, made-to-measure or bespoke, our tailoring is sewn in Tuscany, where the handwriting of our pattern can be best translated into jackets that are soft but clean and refined but characterful.

We’re committed to making in Italy, working with people we have the utmost respect for, whose speciality has survived thanks to generations of received knowledge and a dedication to craft.

HOUSE STYLE
Across each pillar of our tailoring program, clients have to opt for the house style. Ours is distinct, with the round shapes of a natural shoulder and low hanging drape making for a softly constructed piece of tailoring.

This roundness is offset by the straight lines of the extended front darts, wide lapels and deep V that is given by our low-button position. Despite being unstructured, our jacket is not entirely de-constructed. The block strikes a balance between the ease of the Italian school of tailoring we subscribe to and the innate formality of a city like London.

We construct with a full canvas and prefer heavier, textured cloth to support our desired level of drape, whilst the sleeve is inserted underneath as a shirt would be made, leaning into our soft aesthetic and allowing for plenty of movement.

MTM PROCESS
The first stage is discussing your ideas for the garment and the intended seasons you’d like to wear it.

Following this dialogue we’ll suggest a variety of fabrics and make a choice collaboratively.

We’ll then conduct an initial fitting and take a variety of measurements, after which your garment will enter production.

The second stage is the fitting process. After 8-10 weeks, the garment will arrive in store for a second fitting, where we finalise details such as trouser and sleeve length, and make any other necessary alterations.

The third stage is delivery. Once the fitting process is complete, the garments are delivered. A full set of measures is taken beforehand, to be kept on file for future reference.

BESPOKE PROCESS
The first stage is discussing your ideas for the garment and the intended seasons you’d like to wear it.

Following this dialogue we’ll suggest a variety of fabrics and make a choice collaboratively.

We’ll then conduct an initial fitting and take a variety of measurements, after which your pattern will be drafted, fabric cut and a plain basted fitting produced.

New customers will then have a minimum of two more fittings, before a final pre-delivery consultation. A full set of measures is taken, to be kept on file for future reference.
